The ride and social were a great success! We had about 60 people.

Thanks to everyone who helped and participated!

A map of the bike loop should load below. Here is a printable copy of the map.

Weather was great and everyone had a great time. Lots of unusual bikes (and people!).

Text of the announcement prior to the event:

Come one, come all. Bring the whole family! Davis Bicyles! is celebrating the Davis Bike Loop! This will be a relaxed, easy-paced ride for all ages. Riders will begin at two points on the loop in east Davis and ride to an ice cream social at the Village Homes green in west Davis. The ice cream will be free and the fun unlimited!

Participants are invited to join one of the two groups at any point along the route. The groups will leave at 2 pm from the picnic pavilion at Mace Ranch Park and from the playground at Willow Creek Park on Cowell Blvd. and ride along the north and south branches of the loop, respectively. We'll all meet at the gazebo at the Village Homes green, then at 3:00, we'll get out the ice cream and celebrate some more! Davis Bicycles! members will escort each group to coordinate the ride, point out items of interest, and assist with any mechanical problems. Please bring your own water for the ride. More water will be available at the V.H. green.

During the social, you will have plenty of opportunities to soak up Davis bicycle culture, meet other cycling enthusiasts, and share ideas for improving bicycling in Davis. To give us some idea of how many people are coming, please email to let us know how many people you are coming with.
