Previously published columns

If you’d like to write a column on bicycling in Davis...

  • Contact: column@davisbicycles.org
  • Coordinators: Joe Krovoza, Russell Reagan, Tom Burton, Leo Rainer, Ted Buehler
  • Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Length: 500-600 words
  • When in Enterprise: Fridays
  • Deadline to Enterprise: Friday before, preferably sooner. (Send submission to column@davisbicycles.org, not directly to the Enterprise.)

Goals

  • Keep Davisites thinking about biking with a focus on promoting biking for everyday trips. Recreational riding outside of town can be an occasional topic, but our emphasis is bicycling for all uses, part of everyday lifestyle.
  • Use expertise, humor and topicality to keep readers following our column
  • Don’t get too serious/boring, but don’t get too detached from our goal of promoting and supporting biking of all kinds

Needs

  • Authors and ideas. See a list of possible ideas.
  • Some strategy on when to run articles and topics depending on the time of year and upcoming events in the city, but coordinators to do this in coordination with some direction from DB! leadership and the Enterprise.
