  • City-wide Bike to School Competition
Davis Bicycles! is planning a year-long city-wide student competition for “most bicycle miles logged” and/or “most days bicycles are used to get to school” using the Saveagallon website to record the mileage. A beta-test of the Saveagallon competition for Davis schools is now in operation at www.saveagallon.org and we need your help to test it. To test the site, register your name, log in, and then go to SAG-settings. Click on Team and select Davis School-Beta to log miles under the Beta Test, which will run from now until the end of September. By October 1 we expect to be able to announce it district wide and open the competition.

  • Film Festival 2009
Mark your calendars: 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 24, 2009 @ DHS Brunelle/IPAB Theater! Davis Bicycles! will continue the tradition started last year by holding our second annual DB! Film Festival, or DB!FF. Plan to attend this fun, informative and, we hope, provocative family-friendly evening. Spread the word. The deadline for submissions will be Tuesday, October 6. For information on submission rules or to volunteer to help DB!FF II to great heights of bike culture, awareness and advocacy, write to Joe Krovoza.

  • Enterprise Bike Column
Davis Bicycles! has a biweekly column in the Davis Enterprise. We welcome volunteers interested in writng columns related to Davis and the bicycling lifestyle. Submissions can focus on any topic relating to biking in Davis: history, humor, encouragement, personal observations, etc. Our goal is to increase bike awareness in Davis.
